Royally Crafty Market - April

I had the opportunity to show and sell my photos once again at the monthly Royally Crafty Market at the Westminster Quay in New Westminster.  The turnout this month was a little bit lower than last month, but there was still a great atmosphere and lots of interesting people to talk to.  I was able to get a booth along one of the sides of the room, instead of in the middle, like last time.  I was hoping for this as it focuses people's glances on to my photos.  When I was in the middle of the room, some people would walk by one side and not the other, or else they would miss us completely.  As well, we managed to perfect our display and it actually looks quite good.

During the market in March, we had a lot of growing pains as we tried to make everything perfect.  The wooden photo holders that I'd purchased did not work and the photos actually fell over!  This caused a domino effect (yikes!) and all of the framed 8x10s took a dive!  This month, however, my resourceful husband found some sturdy and cheap holders at a thrift store.  They turned out to be much more cost-effective and they held the photos steady for the four hour market.

I am happy with how the display turned out.  I have yet to make a sale, but I am having fun doing this!

I gave away some chocolate Easter eggs in honour of Easter!!!  Mmmmmmm.....

The following two photos were taken by me, but the jewelry was created by my new friend, Ildiko.  She makes all of the jewelry herself, including pounding the silver!  She works with silver, pearls and Swarovski crystal.  If you want to see more of her work, check out her Etsy shop!

If you want to see more of my work, you can also check out my Etsy shop.  If you are going to be in the New Westminster area next month, the next Royally Crafty Market will be on the first Saturday of May.  See you there!
