This is the week of
Diwali, the Indian festival of lights. This holiday is celebrated in Sikhism, Hinduism and Jainism. Each religion has beautiful and meaningful traditions to mark these special days. I haven't had time to make and light my own diya (the small clay lamps which give Diwali its name), but I thought I would post some appropriate photos here just the same.
