It's a Beautiful Day in My Neighbourhood

My husband and I took a walk around our neighbourhood this afternoon.  We just moved here last month and we already love our new area.  Our city has a small town feel to it, even though it isn't a small town.  We are lucky that our apartment is nestled amongst houses that are over a hundred years old.  Old-fashioned porches with rocking chairs, flower-laden trees and lazy orange cats give our little town (even though it's not) its character.  I pulled out my trusty Nikon and wore out its battery traipsing up and down the streets and alleys, snapping at whatever caught my fancy.  I am posting the results here.  We are lucky in the diversity of this hamlet. Victorian houses, train tracks, warehouses, tugboats on the river, trendy cafes and blackberry bushes rub elbows just outside our window.
